Ingredients:
1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 cup granulated sugar
¾ cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cornstarch
¾ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 410°F (210°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Cream together the cold butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
3️⃣ Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
5️⃣ Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
6️⃣ Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
7️⃣ Scoop dough into large balls and place on baking sheets.
8️⃣ Bake for 9-11 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
9️⃣ Let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
